A coupon is the return or profit paid to the holder of the bond. It’s calculated as a percentage of the amount you invest in the bond, typically on an annual basis. For example, if you buy a bond for Rp10Mil with a 6% coupon, you’ll receive Rp600K per year before tax.
If the coupon is paid twice a year, you’ll receive Rp300K every 6 months before tax.
